State Street Inn

Our address is: 228 North State Street, Dover, Delaware 19901
We are located at the corner of State Street and Mary Street (see map below).

Parking: On-street parking (for check-in and unloading) is available on State Street and Mary Street. Overnight parking is available behind the inn, accessed from Mary Street. There are two separate parking areas: 2 parking spaces in front of our carriage house (at 12 Mary St.), and 3 parking spaces directly behind the inn (turn into the alley from Mary St.).

From Baltimore, Washington or Richmond via the Chesapeake Bay Bridge:
Take US 50/301 across the bridge. Follow US 301 North to Maryland Route 302 (right turn at mile marker 102). Turn right onto Maryland Route 454 at Templeville. Route 454 becomes Route 8 at the Delaware state line. Continue on Route 8 into downtown Dover. Turn left onto State Street and continue a quarter-mile to the State Street Inn.

From Areas South of the Chesapeake Bay via the Bridge-Tunnel:
At Norfolk, cross the Bridge-Tunnel and follow US 13 North, approximately 170 miles from the Bridge-Tunnel to Dover. From Route 13 in Dover, turn left onto Loockerman Street. After 0.6 mi, turn right onto State Street. Continue one half-mile to the State Street Inn.

From Baltimore or Washington via Interstate 95:
Take I-695 (the Baltimore Beltway), then take I-95 North to DE Route 1 South (Exit 4A). Continue on DE Route 1 South (toll road) to Dover. At Dover, take exit 98 and turn right onto DE Route 8 (Little Creek Road/Division Street). Drive 1.75 miles, then turn right onto State Street. Continue a quarter-mile to the State Street Inn.

From Philadelphia or Trenton:
Take I-95 South to I-495 South to DE Route 1 South (Exit 4A). Continue on DE Route 1 South (toll road) to Dover. At Dover, take exit 98 and turn right onto DE Route 8 (Little Creek Road/Division Street). Drive 1.75 miles, then turn right onto State Street. Continue a quarter-mile to the State Street Inn.

From New Jersey and New England:
Take the New Jersey Turnpike south to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Take I-95 South to DE Route 1 South (Exit 4A). Continue on DE Route 1 South (toll road) to Dover. At Dover, take exit 98 and turn right onto DE Route 8 (Little Creek Road/Division Street). Drive 1.75 miles, then turn right onto State Street. Continue a quarter-mile to the State Street Inn.

From Southern New Jersey via the Cape May-Lewes Ferry:
This vehicle and passenger ferry connects New Jersey and Delaware with a 17-mile (90 minute) crossing of the Delaware Bay. The Lewes, DE terminal is 42 miles south of Dover. Visit the Cape May-Lewes Ferry website for current schedules and fares.
